A humidifier is intended to add moisture near the user; a diffuser usually prioritizes fragrance and atmosphere. A flame-effect device may combine cool mist and LED light, but its name does not replace specifications such as output, tank, and intended area.
Evaluate tank and mist before the light effect
A larger tank generally means fewer refills, but it also needs consistent cleaning. Desktop devices are best treated as personal or bedside units; a 700 ml label alone does not establish whole-room coverage.
Confirm fragrance-oil compatibility
Not every humidifier accepts essential oils. Oils can damage a filter, seal, or atomizing structure. Add fragrance only when the model instructions explicitly allow it, and follow the specified quantity and cleaning schedule.
